Road Work Progress

The road work in front of our house had started when we arrived on May 15th, and will still be ongoing once we leave on August 1st.  It has been noisy and dusty, but things are so quiet in the evenings and on week-ends because even the local traffic is curbed.  No noisy scooters racing down the road at 3:00 am!  We've had to park fairly far from the house, which meant long walks carrying grocery bags, but we have survived.  The most annoying was probably the start of work at 7:30 am when we hoped to sleep in.  The road will be amazing when completed!
