Leonardo

Destination: Amboise.  This is where you'll find a beautiful town, very clean, full of great restaurants, and terrific views.  Attraction: the Château d'Amboise and the Clos de Lucé where Leonardo da Vinci lived and worked for the last three years of his life.

Sailboats from long ago era, plying the Loire.

The Château, much closer.  Very elaborate architecture.

Very long staircase, but it makes for a lovely photo shot.  The upper right background is Leonardo Da Vinci's tomb.

Leonardo's tomb, as seen from street level.

Immaculate gardens.

The town of Amboise is so pretty - a real pleasure to walk around.

Bigot is still there, and still serving delicious treats.

Salamander, François I's emblem, sits on top of a well located at entrance of the Clos de Lucé.

Different mode of transportation.

Artistic roof embellishment
